Mariah Carey fans got #JusticeforGlitter 17 years later by skyrocketing the soundtrack to the top of the iTunes chart.

Carey shouted out her fans for the feat in a Twitter post.

“I have to dedicate today’s #tbt to Glitter, which is currently #1 on the iTunes albums chart, 17 years after its release and on the eve of my new album release! My fans are THE BEST. #JusticeForGlitter!! LET’S GO #CAUTION,” Carey wrote.

Carey’s latest album “Caution” will be released on Friday.

“Glitter” was released in 2001 and grossed only $5.3 million worldwide. The film’s failure has been attributed to both the film’s release date (Sept. 21), which was so close to Sept. 11, and to Carey’s public meltdowns surrounding the film’s promotion. She infamously had an erratic appearance on “Total Request Live” around the film’s release. In April, Carey told People she was diagnosed with bipolar disorder that year.

“For a long time I thought I had a severe sleep disorder,” Carey said. “But it wasn’t normal insomnia and I wasn’t lying awake counting sheep. I was working and working and working … I was irritable and in constant fear of letting people down. It turns out that I was experiencing a form of mania. Eventually I would just hit a wall. I guess my depressive episodes were characterized by having very low energy. I would feel so lonely and sad — even guilty that I wasn’t doing what I needed to be doing for my career.”

Regardless, Carey’s fans weren’t going to let “Glitter” fade away.
