A historic auto dealership in Hollywood has joined forces with Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors United in support of programs to help homeless youth throughout Southern California.
Toyota of Hollywood, a longtime LGBTQ ally company located at 6000 Hollywood Boulevard, will be sponsoring “Cyndi Lauper & Friends Home for the Holidays Concert” to benefit True Colors United, which will be held at LA Live on Tuesday December 10.
“We are proud to support True Colors United and this important work to help solve this crisis in our community. We are committed as a company to support these programs to bring safety and a better future for young people facing homelessness,” said Mike Sullivan, the owner of Toyota of Hollywood and other LAcarGUY dealerships.
Toyota of Hollywood has a long record of service to the community, and the location is the first official Toyota Dealer in the United States.
True Colors United works to implement programs and policies for over 4.2 million youth who experience homelessness each year in the U.S. There are many organizations in Hollywood that provide housing, meals, and clothing, and homelessness in the region has grown by 20% in the past 3 years. True Colors United helps with this crisis by providing training and education programs, advocacy at the state and federal level, and building youth collaborations and youth leadership programs that help bring solutions to LGBTQ youth in crisis.
This year’s Home for the Holidays Concert will feature performances by Cyndi Lauper, Belinda Carlisle, Billy Porter, Justin Trantner, Lily Tomlin, Kesha, Marilyn Manson, and many other outstanding performers.
100% of the net proceeds from Cyndi Lauper’s Home for the Holidays Concert go directly to True Colors United.
