Nickelodeon’s “Double Dare” featured a two-dad family for the family edition of the kid game show marking the first time same-sex parents have been included on the show.

“Double Dare” has aired on and off throughout the years with its original run from 1986-1993 and then a reboot in 2000. The show has returned with yet another reboot hosted by YouTube personality Liza Koshy.

In the show’s family edition episode, Koshy introduced team Double Dads which consists of dads Liberty and Bryan and their adopted sons Oscar and Marcos.

“They love football, and they love each other. They are team ‘Double Dads.’ That’s right! It’s about time we had double dads on ‘Double Dare,'” Koshy tells the family.

Liberty and Bryan explain that they adopted their sons six years ago and “it’s been amazing ever since.” They also say their family shares a passion for football.

“We love it so much, basically all fall through Christmas, that’s what we do every Sunday,” Bryan says.
